Late Night Stampers - Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Hi everyone,

It is time for another  Late Night Stampers Challenge. This time it is Teacher Appreciation Gifts. Everyone knows how hard teachers work right, so they should be spoilt. And what better a way than to make them something. I know all my childrens teachers in the past have loved receiving hand made items that have been made with just them in mind. So much more personal than a store bought gift. Here is what I made for this challenge.

This gift set contains a covered notebook, a bookmark, a post-it note holder and a greeting card. I just love this paper range from Stampin' Up! and it is so appropriate for this theme. And what makes this project more special is that I didn't actually buy the paper, I downloaded the ensemble in My Digital Studio and then printed what I wanted to use. Yes that includes the striped background paper I have used. I think that is a fabulous idea. I can now print what I want over and over again. So now I can combine my traditional paper crafting with the digital world.

So why don't you play along with this challenge and show everyone how much you apreciate the teachers of this world. As a mum of a special needs child, I know that my sons teachers work harder than most and are so deserving of being spoilt. Show some appreciation today, I know I will be.

Supplies used:-
Digital Download: Storytime Ensemble
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Brights Buttons, Pool Party Ribbon, Island Indigo Ribbon

Thanks for popping by and I look forward to seeing your work over at Late Night Stampers.

Got to love a Colour Challenge

Hello everyone,

Do you love being inspired by  other people? Do you struggle putting colour combinations together? If you answered yes to one or  both of these then listen up. You need to do some blog hopping and get some ideas flowing. Quite often you will stumble across some gorgeous work and ideas for using your supplies differently. And you will also often come along challenges that you can enter.
So today I am going to point you in the direction of one such challenge that I just happened to be on the Design Team for...lol
Betsys Blossoms

This is the card I made for the Latte Colour Challenge #1. This challenge is being run by the gorgeous  fellow Demonstrator Leonie Schroder. Hop on over to her blog for all the low down. Basically you need to make a project using the following colours - Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Raspberry Ripple. My Elegant Eggplant on this photo looks more blue than purple, sorry about that.

Betsys Blossoms

You know I have to laugh everytime I see Elegant Eggplant, and I have trouble saying it because when my daughter first saw the name a few months ago, she read it as Elephant Eggplant. Oh if I had a dollar for each time I have had to correct myself...lol

Well I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful. And once you have, why not enter it into Leonie's Colour Challenge.

Supplies used:-
Stamps: Betsy's Blossoms, Four Frames, Up, Up & Away
Paper: Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple
Inks: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Paper Daisies, Regal Brads, Brights Brads, Organza Ribbon

Thanks for popping by.

Hello there,

I have a soft spot for anything vintage and shabby chic. So when Stampin' Up! released the Artisan Embellishment kit - I was in love. But it's one of those things that I put aside as it was too pretty to use. Well after seeing some trully inspiring cards made using this kit, I knew I had to take the plunge. So todays card uses some of the things from this kit.

It's not that far away.

Hi all,

Mother's Day is not that far away. I hope you all know what you are getting  your mum. I have told my lot straight out what I want..lol...I learned years ago that hints don't work. I either have to buy and wrap it myself...lol...or circle in a catalogue what I want. For a lot of mums the card is a special part of the day. Because years down the track when the gift has either been consumed, wore out or lost in the cupboard, she will always have the card to look back on and remember the love she felt on that day. If you have never made your Mum a card for Mother's Day, then why not start this year. It't not as hard as you think. And with the card I have featured today, it is dead easy. If you don't feel confident, why not get some friends together and we can do a class together to make something special for all the Mums.

Supplies used:-
Stamps: Apothecary Art, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Primrose Petals, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DSP
Inks: Regal Rose, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits, Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim, Sizzlits Little Leaves, Jewels Basic Pearls

Thanks for popping by.
Cheers,
