Ink Them Up!

Hi everyone,

It's time to ink up those embossing folders. Did you know you could even do that??

Embossing folders can do more than just emboss, there are lots of things you can do with them. One technique is to ink them up and then when you emboss you get a pop of colour as well. Have a look at a card I did using this technique.

Supplies used:-
Stamps: Chalk Talk
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Polka Dot Parade DSP
Inks: Gumball Green, Basic Black
Accessories: Chevron Embossing Folder, Ovals Collection Framelits, Decorative Label Punch

There are several different ways to ink up the folder. Why don't you come along to one of my Tools & Techniques classes and find out how to achieve this look. All the class
times are on my Events page.

Oh and don't forget, it is only days away till the 1st of August when all the celebrations for my Birthday Month start. Make sure you come back each day during August as I have some exciting things planned.

Thanks for popping by today.

Tape It

Hi everyone,

Do you love Washi tape? Well so do I, but I found it a bit expensive to keep buying all the rolls in all the styles I liked and all the colour ways it came in. So how excited was I when Stampin' Up! brought out a stamp set that looks like Washi tape. So now I can have a never ending tape supply in what ever colour I want. It is absolutely fabulous. But don't just take my word for it, have a look at this card.

Tape It

This card may look familiar if you have browsed through  the new catalogue. Yes I cased the card on page 126, because I loved it so much.

Supplies used:-
Stamps: Tape It, Gorgeous Grunge, Oh Hello
Paper: Whisper White
Inks: Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Black Staz On, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie

Both the Tape It and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets are great for male cards. So with Fathers Day o the horizon, make sure that you grab them soon to make some hand made cards for the males in your life. Shop in my online store here.

Thanks for popping by and I hope I have given you a little inspiration in your day.

Hello there,

Today I have a simple little card to show you.  I tried to make lace the hero of  the card but I think some of the focus has been taken away with the buttons and pearls. The lace still makes a statement I guess. Oh well, sometimes an idea works and sometimes not quite so....lol

Inspiration from the New Catalogue

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to show you that I cased from the new Annual Catalogue. There is so much inspiration in the catalogue. But inspiration is everywhere. Where do you find your inspiration?

Simply Stamping

The definition of case -
Noun
  1. An instance of a particular situation; an example of something occurring: "a case of mistaken identity".
  2. A container designed to hold or protect something.

This card is a case of the card on page 36 of the new catalogue. It shows you that you don't need to have exactly those items to make a similar card. It is all about taking inspiration or an idea to copy.
