Going to miss these

I am going to miss some of the things that are now on the Retired Products List. But I guess all good things must come to an end to make way for some exciting new things.

For the new Mr and Mrs

Today I have the prettiest card to share with you. I was asked to make a card for the neice of an old school friend and was told the colours were purple and pink. So here is what I made.

As you can see I also stamped inside the card and the envelope. And as Shelli Gardner, the CEO of Stampin' Up! always says, never send a naked envelope.
I think I nailed the brief. But because this was an order I got away with using some non SU things...oops. But you can easily substitute SU goods for those two things - the embossing folder and the ribbon.
Supplies used:-
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Petite Pairs, Papillon Potpourri
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder
Inks: Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red, Gumball Green, Pear Pizazz
Accessories: Window Frames Collection Framelits, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Decorative Label Punch, Basic Jewel Pearls, Bitty Butterfly Punch

Photopolymer Inspiration

Hi there,

Today I thought I would share with you a card I made to test out the new Photopolymer stamps that are being introduced to the Stampin' Up! product range.

Well let me tell you, I am very impressed with these stamps. I have used photopolymer stamps before but they have not been this great quality. These are so easy to use and not squishy like others I have used. The ink coats perfectly and you get fantastic crisp images every time. Oh and lining up is a breeze.
         Show & Tell 1                                                     Show & Tell 2

And if you order the bundle then you also get a FREE online class. I got some really helpful tips and ideas from the class, so well worth the money I reckon.

See the multicoloured and variagated arrows behind the red starburst. Well I did all that with two stamps. Each stamp consisted of 3 arrows, I just kept inking and stamping. They were so easy to line up. I stamped twice with each inking so I got a sligthly lighter stamping the second time. I think it creates a fantastic background. Then the ribbon stamp in the middle I stamped onto card and then cut out, and stamped the two arrows on it. Easy peezy. Again with the flag, stamped it, cut it out and stamped the 30 40 50. I love these stamps.

The ones I used on this projet are  only available till the end of May so you better get in now if you want them. I can tell that these are going to be well used with Project Life coming soon.

Supplies used:-
Stamps: Show and Tell Bundle, Blue Ribbon
Paper: Island Indigo, Real Red, Whisper White
Inks: Island Indigo, Real Red
Accessories: Starburst Framelits, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Hung Up Cute Clips, retired Real Red satin ribbon

Thanks for popping by today, and don't forget these stamps are only available for a limited time, so if you want them pop over to my shop or contact me.

Digital Project Life

You already know that Project Life is coming to Stampin' Up!, right. There will be lots to buy in the upcoming catalogue. Well Stampin' Up! didn't want you to have to wait that long, so they have released a digital range of Project Life.

I just couldn't resist the new Project Life downloads. I love the simplicity of Project Life scrapping. This type of scrapping really shows off the photos and you can fit a lot more on a layout than the normal style of scrapping I do. So without further ado, here is what I made.

Now this what we call a hybrid page. Some digital elements and some traditional paper craft items. I have used the digital downloads and created the journal card and embellishment cards for the page. Some I have just printed as they are, others I have added a digital stamp to and then printed. Once on the layout I also embellished others further using stamps and die cuts. And would you believe that this layout only took me around 2 hours to create, and that included choosing the photos and what Project Life cards I wanted to use. Actually choosing the Project Life cards was the hardest, because there are so many nice ones I wanted to use, it was hard deciding.

Supplies used:-
Stamps: Everyday Adventure Digital, Starburst Sayings, Peachy Keen
Paper: Watercolour Wonder DSP, Whisper White, Island Indigo, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
Inks: Island Indigo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Stampin' Write Marker in Island Indigo, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, On Film Framelits, Starburst Framelits, Hung Up Cute Clips, Washi Tape, Dimensionals

I would recommend everyone have a go at Project Life scrapping. It is so easy and heaps of fun.
These are the digital downloads available now.
Thanks for dropping by today, and please remember if you have any questions at all, just drop me a line.
