The ladies in my Virtual Club were given the instructions on how to create wonderful backgrounds using this technique.
Here are a couple of cards that I created using colour blocking as the background for my stamped image.
As you can see this technique created some amazing backgrounds. They add just a little something special to the card and gives it a more 'artsy' feel.
I also decided that these backgrounds needed something special on them, so I coloured the flower using Blendabilities. Yes, I am officially in love with Blendabilities. I stamped the flower and stem onto the background, then stamped another flower onto another piece of card. I then coloured it, cut it out and mounted in onto the card using dimensionals.
I love playing with new techniques to see what I can do. It is so much fun. I love that my job lets me be creative every day and do what I love. If you want to do the same, make sure you speak to me about joining my team.
To make these cards you will need -
Accessories - Blendabilities (Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight), Stitched Satin Ribbon (Hello Honey), Acrylic Block, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Sponge Dauber, Basic Jewel Rhinestone, Arrows Embossing Folder
Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
