Wetlands, Watercolour and Tape

In this months Virtual Club we covered the topic of making great backgrounds.

The Watercolour and Masking Tape techniques were two great techniques we covered for creating really fantastic backgrounds.

I gave my club members  the tutorials on how to make these great backgrounds and promised to blog completed cards using them.

This first card features the watercolour technique for the background. I love the subtle look and feel that this technique gives. I tend to use it a lot for scene cards, and the Wetlands Stamp Set is perfect for creating these types of cards. This has to be my "go to" stamp set when I need to make cards for the older male. And they are always well received.

This second card I have used the masking tape technique. Would you believe I have used the same ink colours on both backgrounds, but the tape technique gives a totally different look and feel. This one is so much stronger and bold. I deliberately used the same stamp set to show the difference the background makes. Still a great card.

To make these cards you will need:-

I hope I have given you some inspiration to get creative soon.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
