Project Life Blog Hop

Welcome to the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Latte Girls Blog Hop.

We are all so excited about Project Life that we just had to show you all.

Project Life has to be the simplest form of memory keeping around. I remember when I was young we used to get the photos developed and then put them in those nasty acid filled photo albums. How quick was that. Just lift up the sleeve and pop the photo in. Well Project Life is just as quick. Pop your photos in the pockets, add a few additional cards, a little bit of journalling and your done.

But did you know that the cards that come in the collections can also be used for other things. You can make greeting cards, tags and all sorts of other things with them. So today as part of this blog hop I thought I would show you some greeting cards I have made using the cards from the Hello December Collection which is coming out for a very limited time in the upcoming Christmas Supplement.

With this card above I have stamped a piece of Whisper White card with one of the snowflakes from the Endless Wishes stamp set, then simply layered it on Lost Lagoon and Basic Black. Then I have layered one of the cards from the Hello December Project Life Collection on Basic Black, added some of the Black dotty washi tape from the Accessory Pack and highlighted it with the snowflake button which also comes from the Accessory Pack.
Here is a close up of the snowflake button. It is so cute.

With this second card below I tried something really different which resulted in quite a bold card.

I love the Washi tape that comes in the Accessory Pack so I thought I would use it to make horizontal stripes on the background. This definitely makes a statement. Then I cut a frame of Lost Lagoon card stock, mounted the snowflake card from the Collection onto Basic Black and then twisted it so its not all lined up straight. This is so not my style....I like everything to be even and uniform. But I quite like the effect in the end. I also added some of the cutest wooden snowflakes from the Accessory pack. Here is a close up of them.

For the final card I just had to use the gorgeous sequins that come in the Accessory Pack. Then I saw the printed acetate cards in the are stunning. So I just had to make than a shaker card.

And then I saw the sheets of silver alphabet and shapes, and found the cutest snowflakes, so just had to add them as well.

Because I am in Australia and we don't get snow at Christmas time, I thought I would use these cards to make some Christmas cards to send to friends overseas who do get snow at Christmas. By using the cards from the Project Life kit, these cards came together so fast. So next time you are in a rush and don't have the time to get the stamps and ink pads out, why not just grab a Project Life Collection card, some card stock, a couple of embellishments and your done. So quick and easy. Love it ! Love Project Life !

The Hello December Project Life Collection and Accessory Pack are only available in the Christmas Supplement which starts October 20 and available while stocks last. I predict this kit will be very popular, so if you want yours, you have better get in quickly.

If you want to recreate these cards, these are the products I used.

Now I bet you are busting to hop around to all the other girls blogs. So here is the list to get you on your way.
