A Sketch Interpretation

Did you see the sketch I posted a few days ago ? It was for a scrap page and I did a Christmas layout using it.

Well did you know that it is so easy to use these sketches for making cards as well ?

Narelle Fasulo - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Does the design of this look familiar ?

I used that layout sketch and made a card based around it. When interpreting a sketch you can be as literal as the sketch is and copy it exactly. You can leave bits out and add bits in. You can even just incorporate one element and do a very loose interpretation. That's the beauty of sketches, they are as adaptable as you want them to be.

Next time you see a layout sketch and just skip past it, I want you to stop and really look at it. Can you design a card around it. If you find that hard to do, grab some paper and a pencil and draw a card front on it. Then element by element, draw what you see on the layout sketch. You can leave elements out, you don't have to do it exactly the same. You can even rotate it. There are lots of ways you can change it up, you just have to look beyond what you see in front of you.

I  hope next time you see a sketch you stop and actually look at it.

Thanks for visiting.

Have a great day.
