December Daily - Day 2

Day 2 of my December Daily is about the traditions we have around putting up our Christmas Tree.

Narelle Fasulo - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Unless the four of us are home we don't put the tree up. Everyone has to be home to help. This sometimes means that it doesn't always go up on the 1st of December. But we always put it up together. My teenage son does the least amount he can these days as apparently "it's just not cool" anymore...lol  My daughter on the other had is more than willing and I find myself having less to do as she wants to do it all.

Every year the children take turns in putting the angel on top of the tree.  And they each have a personalised bauble from their 1st Christmas that sits just below the Angel.

Another tradition we have is that we put on Christmas Carols and have them playing while we put up the tree. It's a little strange at times to hear carols referring to Winter Wonderland when its 35 degree celcius outside and the air conditioning is on, but we love them just the same. By the end of the tree there is always someone singing along to the carols in a loud and crazy way. But it's these little things that make Christmas preperation  lots of fun and makes Christmas so much more an experience for the children than just a day of receiving gifts.

I am loving using the Hello December Project Life Kit. The longest part of these pages is the printing of the photo. The Project Life style of doing a December Daily Journal is so quick and easy...love it.

If you want to start your own, these are the main products I am using.
