Scored Background Saves You Money

Hi everyone,

Today I wanted to share with you a little technique that will add a touch of elegance to your cards AND save you money.

I will show you the card and then explain what I mean.

You may have seen embossing folders around that will give you the diagonal cross design as I have here in my card, but did you know that you don't need to go out and buy one to achieve this look. If you already have the Simply Scored tool and the Diagonal Plate then you can make this background. And the bonus of using the scoring tool is that you can customise it to the size you want. You aren't stuck just using a 6" x 4" embossing folder, AND you can make the lines as far apart or as close as you like. Plus you can make just single lines and all sorts of other designs by using the one tool. Now thats what I call versatile. To achieve that with embossing folders you would need to have one folder for every design. Don't get me wrong, I love embossing folders, but I also like saving money.... :-)

Doesn't it look elegant. Would be perfect for wedding and other special ocassions cards.

If you want to see a video of how I did this, then pop over to my Tutorials Page for the video.
