You Make the World a Better Place

The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. It is a glorious day here in Sydney today. Doesn't the sun make the world a better place !!  I love Spring, it is my favourite season of the year.

So to honour the beautiful spring day we have today, here is a bright and beautiful card to share with you all.

I used the wonderful Hearts & Stars Mask when I made this card. I love how easy it is to get a unique background. Instead of using the one colour, I mixed it up and used lots of bright colours.

I also used Blendabilities on this card. It might be a bit hard to see.  But if you look closely enough you can see that the rhinestones are coloured. I coloured them with Blendabilities. How cool is that ! You can also colour our pearl embellishments the same. Now you can have your embellishments match your project. Brilliant !

Thanks for dropping by today.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle

Bright and Beautiful

Today I have a fun card to share with you. It is a card that is so easy to make but looks really impressive - Suspended stars.

From the front this card looks like any other normal card. Just some stars mounted on top of each other. But when you open it you realise that half the front of the card is missing and the stars are actually suspended between two strips of card stock.

The idea behind this is not mine. I saw a few of these syles of cards posted on Pinterest, but they used the Festival of Trees stamp set. The first card I saw like this was from Paula Reid.  I decide to try it with the Bright and Beautiful stars. I am glad I did because it turned out really well.

I stamped a lighter star inside with the greeting across it and placed it behind the front ones so that when the card is closed you can not see it.

This card was deceptively easy to make. I hope to have a tutorial available for this soon, so watch this space.

Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop (Updated)

Hi there and welcome to the Stamp A Latte Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.

As you hop along you will come across some absolutely stunning items. All made with wonderful goodies from the Holiday Catalogue. There is so much to love in this Catalogue.

Don't you just love what Leonie did. Wow, just so gorgeous.

I choose to use the Festival of Trees photopolymer stamp set and matching Tree Punch. The best thing about these is that you can buy  them together in a bundle and save 15%. Now thats pretty cool. I hope you like what I created with  them.

Here is the first card I made. It is a stepper card. These are so much fun to make and a lot easier than they look.

I love this set so much I couldn't stop at just one card, so I had to make another. I just love how a change of colour gives this set a completely different look.

UPDATE - You know when you are browsing Pinterest for hours on end and you see lots of things that inspire you. Some stick in your mind for days and some you forget as soon as you move onto the next beautiful creation. Well this next card was one that stuck in my head for days so I just had to recreate it. But the problem was that I couldn't find it again so had no idea who to credit for the original creation. Well my lovely upline has kindly pointed out to me that this design was first created by the very talented Pam Stoner in the US. Here is the link to her original card.
