Butterfly Basics

I am in love with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and matching Butterflies thinlits. They make such gorgeous cards.

So last week when I taught my first card class at a local Community Centre, and I was told that the group was comprised of older ladies, I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use.

We made two cards and decorated a small gift box.

I remember my grandmother had a thing for butterflies, she even had the artificial ones on the outside of her house, much to my fathers dislike. Isn't it funny the things we remember from our childhood. Anyway I was hoping that these ladies would like butterflies too. I was right and the ladies had so much fun making the projects. I had  a ball too. The ladies are a lovely group and I look forward to my next class next week.

Can I tell you, this was my first time teaching a class outside of my home with people I didn't know. It was a big deal for me. I received the phone call about this opportunity while I was at the Inspire Create Share Convention on the Gold Coast last week. I instantly jumped at it and am so glad I did. But I know my enthusiasm with which I accepted the role was only there because of where I was. I can guarantee you that if I was at home when I received the call, I would of come up with a million excuses as to why I couldn't do it. The atmosphere at Convention was contagious and gave me the confidence to say yes. I am so very grateful for everything Stampin' Up! has brought to my life. If you would like to experience the same, make sure you contact me and we can have a chat about joining my team.

Thanks for popping by today.
Have a stamp happy day.
Cheers,
Narelle

    1. Sure Amanda. For the top card and matching gift box I used Pacific Point, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. The bottom card I used Hello Honey and Crumb Cake. Hope that helps.
