Bohemian Borders

When I looked at the Bohemian Borders stamp set for the first time in the catalogue, I must admit that I sort of dismissed it. And I think that was because it was featured along with the Bohemian Designer Series Paper which sort of didn't grab me either at first. I have come to love that paper though, so why  not give the stamp set another chance.

I did just that a few weeks ago when I designed the cards for last weeks card classes. But I knew the Bohemian Designer Series Paper and the colourings in it wouldn't go down too well with the mostly older ladies who come to my classes. So I chose to use more sedate colours.

Plus I also decided to show them how easy it is to use stamps to create background pattern just like a patterned paper. Here are the cards they did last week at class.

Please ignore the smudges on this last one. Someone dropped it onto an open stamp pad, twice. Accidents happen I guess. This has taught me a valuable lesson - take photos of the cards BEFORE class...lol

As an added bonus and because we are heading ever so steadily towards Christmas, I created a 4 th card. The ladies could do as many or as few cards as they chose to.
