By The Tide

I love By The Tide. It is such a great stamp set for masculine cards. I used it for card class a couple of weeks ago but have been slack and only just got around to taking the photos of them and blogging.

The ladies loved them, and several were going to be used straight away as several of the ladies had fishing loving significant others. I love hearing that the cards will be used and not hoarded like I

I also taught the ladies a new technique that they had not done before. You should of seen their reactions when I pulled out my old roll of masking tape. But the effect on these cards is just great.  The third card probably shows the technique off the best, as the other two have used quite subtle colours with the masking tape so don't show as well on screen. The ladies loved that it was so easy to do as well.

This technique is so so easy. All you do is get a strip of standard masking tape, just the tape you use when painting your walls. Your lay the sticky side of the masking tape down onto your ink pad, run your finger on the tape to transfer the ink. Then put the masking tape on your card stock and rub again. The ink will transfer from the tape to your project giving you the really cool effect you can see above.

Have a go at this technique soon if you haven't tried it before. I would love you to send me photos too of your creations.

I hope I have given you some inspiration today to get inky soon.

As always, you can order any supplies used on this project in my online store. The hostess code to apply for August is TWPQ39WD
