Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Oh I am so excited. The new catalogue is only days away now. So how about I wet your appetite.

Myself and a few other Demonstators in ESAD* thought it would be a great idea to get you excited and give you a sneak peek of some of the wonderful things coming in the new Catalogue.

You probably came here from Cherie's blog. Didn't she do an awesome job. If you are just jumping in now then check down my post further for the list of everyone participating in this hop.

Without further ado, here are my projects.

I used the new Bohemian Borders stamp set to create the background for all my cards. I was having so much fun, I just couldn't stop at one. I was pleasantly surprised at the different looks I could achieve. I am sure if I played for much longer I would of had a desk piled high with samples.

My favourite background I created would have to be the baseball looking one. I loved how the stamp  looks like the stitching on a baseball. How quick and easy would it to be make several of these for some great young players you know.

The other new stamp set I used was I Think You're Great. This was a set which we used for our Make and Takes at the Inspire Create Share event in early May. I love the sayings in it. They are so versatile.

The last new product I used is the Triple Banner Punch. Oh my, was I excited when I saw this for the first time. No more getting the scissors out and cutting the banner ends, then finding out that your eye is a bit wonky and you don't have it centred. Do you know how many banners I have had to remake over  the years! Or banners that ended up shorter on projects than they were meant to be..lol...Well there will be no more of that now. Hallelujah !

I hope you are excited about these products as I am. I know that at  the end of this blog hop you will have added to your Wish List....lol

So its time to head off for more inspiration now as you hop  on over to see what Lou has created.

If you get lost along the way, just pop back here and continue through the list.

Vivid Inspiration

Have you heard about the Vivid Festival in Sydney?

It is a fantastic celebration of light that happens every winter. This year was the first year that my family and I have been able to attend. Sad really, when we are locals...lol

But can I tell you, it was worth the wait. Amazing is what it is.

Here are some pictures of our evening.

The light projection displays on landmark buildings is just brilliant. I could of stayed and watched mesmerized for hours, but it was a school night and the kids needed to get home to bed.

Unfortunately none of the photos I took of the Opera House came out as I was a bit far away. Maybe next year.

There was one particular display of the light show on Customs House at Circular Quay that I just loved. It was so pretty and magical. So I chose this one as inspiration for my card today. After all, it just screams Sheltering Tree does it not ??

I hope you like my card I made, and the inspiration from which it was drawn.

If ever you get the chance to visit the Vivid Festival in Sydney, you really have to take it. It is just magical, plus its free - bonus. We saw just a very small part of what there was to see, so maybe another trip soon is on the cards. The festival runs till June 8.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

Cupcakes Galore

There were cupcakes galore this morning at  card class. Not the real ones, but paper ones. The ladies all now have a lovely stash of Birthday Cards to go to when the need arises. They were all so bright and cheery so would be perfect for the younger people in your life. And look, we even decorated the inside and the envelopes.

The ladies had so much fun. There was lots of laughing, chatting and getting distracted. But in the end they all managed to produce some wonderful cards. I love being able to give these ladies some 'me' time while creating beautiful things.

The Cupcake Builder Punch makes it so easy to create some cute cards. And it's great for when you don't feel like doing a lot of stamping. I teemed it up with the bright and cheery Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper. You know when I first saw this paper I wasn't a fan. But the more I have used it, the more I have grown to love it. There is still some left on the Retiring Products List, so make sure you grab it before it is gone forever.

Isn't it great to know that with just a few pieces of paper and a punch, you can make such wonderful cards. And relish in the knowledge that YOU made it. Giving a handmade card means so much more than just a Happy Birthday. It means that I care enough about you that I took the time to make something special and unique just for you.

I hope you take the time to make something for someone special in your life real soon.

As always if you need to order anything, you can shop online in my store 24 hours a day. Or feel free to send me an email with your list or any questions you may have.

Thanks for popping by today.
Have a great day.

Raffle Tickets

With the new catalogue coming up, I have decided to change my Loyalty Programme. A change is as good as a holiday, right !

I found that the system I had in place was just too administrative heavy and was very easy for you the customer and me to get in a pickle. So I have now come up with a very simple but effective system.

Raffle Tickets !!!

Yes that's it, just plain and simple. So here is how it will work.

For every $50 you spend, you will get a Raffle Ticket added to a jar.
At the end of the current Annual Catalogue, I will drawer several Raffle Tickets and the winners will receive a lovely selection of Stampin' Up! products.

There will be no more having to sign up to the system, it will just be automatic.

See I told you it was simple.

Isn't it lovely to know that just by buying what you love, you have a chance to get even more.

This new programme will come into effect June 2, 2015.

Go here to see more information.

Thanks for popping by.

Have a great day.

I wanted to make something simple yet eye catching. Do you think I achieved that?  These cards use one of the new stamp sets in the 2015 Annual Catalogue that is coming out in just a few short weeks. I have also used a couple of the new 2015-2017 In Colours.

I love this stamp set as it is so versatile and I am sure you will too. It is just one of the many new wonderful products coming up. If you don't already have a catalogue, then please let me know and I will make sure to get you one asap. Plus you will get a handmade card made using yet another new stamp set.

Yummy New Products

In case you have been living under a rock, Stampin' Up! are releasing a new catalogue in a couple of weeks. So that means lots of yummy new products to play with.  One of the benefits of being a demonstrator is that not only do we get to see the catalogue well before anyone else, but we also get to order some of the new goodies from it before it is released.

And one of the benefits of being a customer of mine, is that you get to receive a catalogue from me as soon as I can get my hands on them, well before the general population can. I also send a handmade card that I have made using some of the new products.

These are some of  the cards that my customers received if they were in my first round of catalogue mail outs.

Retiring Products Blog Hop

Hi everyone,

In case you didn't know, Stampin' Up! are releasing a new catalogue in just a few short weeks. This means that we will be seeing some wonderful new goodies soon, but it also means that we have to say goodbye to others that we have grown to love. So what better way to send off some of our favourites than with a Blog Hop.

Below my projects you will see links to everyone else who is participating in this wonderful blog hop. Make sure you check them out. If you have followed this hop from the first person then you are at the end, and I hope you have been inspired to make something wonderful.

Enough from me now, it's time to let my projects do the talking.

I have used the Starburst Sayings Stamp Set, the Starburst Framelits and Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper. I can't believe that these products will no longer be available in a few weeks. I love the fun starburst shapes of these stamps and framelits. They just add something funky to a project. Oh and the Sweet Taffy paper is so bright and cheery. Combine these three elements and you can't help but create something fun. But did you notice the one project I did that was a little more subtle? I did that on purpose to show the versatility as well. So I made a baby card. I choose the most subtle paper in the pack and a lighter shade of ink. It is still a fun card but much more calmer.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my projects as much as I had making them. Like I said earlier, please have a hop around all the other talented ladies below if you haven't already. As I am last on the list, just start at Kelly  and continue on if you are just joining the Blog Hop.

Celebrate Baby

This is one stamp set that unfortunately I had to have but rarely used. Do you do that too ?

I love Celebrate Baby and I think it is so versatile, so have no idea why I didn't use it....oh well. Here are some cards I made with it recently. And now I am sad that it is retiring. I may just have to keep it in my stash in the hope that more people I know have babies.

As you can see I used  the Stars mask from the Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks pack. I am so glad they are not retiring as they make making unique backgrounds such a breeze.

If you want any of the products on the Retiring List then you had better act quickly. Some items are already sold out. Check out the list here, the products with the X next to them are already gone for good. You can purchase the available items until May 31 or until stocks last.

Exciting news

I have been sitting on some exciting news for a little while. And today is the day that I get to announce it. I am so thrilled to let you all know that I am now on the Design Team of Off The Rails Scrapbooking.

I am so excited to be a part of the amazing design team they have, and ever so humbled that they think I am good enough to stand beside all that talent.

I invite you to take a look and participate in the wonderful challenges.  It's not all scrapbooking either, they also do cards and mixed media/off the page items. Stay tuned for my first project in the coming weeks.

Thanks for popping by.

Butterfly Basics

I am in love with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and matching Butterflies thinlits. They make such gorgeous cards.

So last week when I taught my first card class at a local Community Centre, and I was told that the group was comprised of older ladies, I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use.

We made two cards and decorated a small gift box.

I remember my grandmother had a thing for butterflies, she even had the artificial ones on the outside of her house, much to my fathers dislike. Isn't it funny the things we remember from our childhood. Anyway I was hoping that these ladies would like butterflies too. I was right and the ladies had so much fun making the projects. I had  a ball too. The ladies are a lovely group and I look forward to my next class next week.

Can I tell you, this was my first time teaching a class outside of my home with people I didn't know. It was a big deal for me. I received the phone call about this opportunity while I was at the Inspire Create Share Convention on the Gold Coast last week. I instantly jumped at it and am so glad I did. But I know my enthusiasm with which I accepted the role was only there because of where I was. I can guarantee you that if I was at home when I received the call, I would of come up with a million excuses as to why I couldn't do it. The atmosphere at Convention was contagious and gave me the confidence to say yes. I am so very grateful for everything Stampin' Up! has brought to my life. If you would like to experience the same, make sure you contact me and we can have a chat about joining my team.

Roomie Gifts

One tradition of going to a Stampin' Up! Inspire Create Share event, is making gifts for your room mates. I was very lucky to share an apartment, even though it was on the 13th floor, with three other beautiful ladies.

I wanted to make them something special. I had some kraft journals at home and decided to decorate  them.  I tailored each one to suit there favourite colours.

Narelle Fasulo - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

These were so much fun to decorate. First I put a thin layer of gesso on the front. Then I used the Dots Decorative Mask with some texture paste. When that was dry, I sponged around the edges with Blackberry Bliss and then sponged the middle with the individual colours - Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist and Melon Mambo.  Next I stamped some leaves around the edges and flowers in the centre using the Choose Happiness Stamp Set. I used the saying "Life doesn't have to be Perfect to be Wonderful" sentiment from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set. A small touch of white paint pen was used to highlight some of the flower petals and green paint pen for some of the leaves. The final touch was a gorgeous Blackberry Bliss butterfly cut using the Butterflies Thinlits Die.

Here is a close up of each one.

And of course you can't give a pretty gift without pretty packaging and a hand made tag. I used the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch with the Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper to make the tag. I then stamped some flowers using the Flower Shop and Petite Petals Stamp Sets. They were punched out using the Pansy Punch and the Petite Petals Punch. Colours used were Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist. I tied the packages up with Tangelo Twist Satin Stitched Ribbon, added some Rhinestones and  the names, and the gifts were ready to go.

Going by the oohs and aahs followed by the wow's, I guess they liked them....

I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful.
