Halloween and Monster Fun

A lot of people in Australia don't celebrate Halloween. But my daughter loves the idea of getting dressed up and collecting lollies. What kid wouldn't ! Whether I celebrate it or not, it doesn't really matter. I just think its an excuse to make some fun cards.

And because I thought these cards were cute, the ladies did them in card class too. I purposely made the cards so they could be made into birthdays cards for children if Halloween wasn't celebrated in their household.

Embellished Ornaments

When I first looked through the Holiday Catalogue, I was drawn to the Embellished Ornaments bundle. I squealed with delight when I saw the intricate pattern on the thinlits. So naturally I had to use them for a class.

When I sat down to create with  this bundle, I had so many ideas running through my head. I could of made a dozen cards but thought the ladies would struggle with that many in the one class..lol...so I settled for these 6.

If you would like to recreate any of these cards, the items below will get you started.

Nordic Inspiration

This week as I browsed a catalogue that was left in my letterbox, I was inspired by the nordic range of Christmas decorations in it.. So I decided to use that inspiration and make a card.

Narelle Fasulo - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

The first thing I thought to use was the Cozy Christmas stamp set. Nothing says nordic more to me than a forest snow scene and Santa in a sleigh. I carried the forest theme through by using the Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder and Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.  The colour scheme naturally had to be of the blue toning. I think Lost Lagoon was the perfect choice.

I hope you enjoyed my nordic inspiration. If  you want to recreate it, then these products below will get you started.
