Just add V

V for Valentines. That's the theme of todays' card and the current challenge over at Just Add Ink.

I thought I would play along with this challenge this week as I have the perfect card from a class a few days ago.

Bloomin' Love - Love Blossoms - Narelle Fasulo - Simply Stamping with Narelle - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=4008228

This card has quite a few layers on it. Each one of the patterned papers is from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. Have you seen this stack? Oh my, all the papers are just so divine.

To add some interest, I distressed the edges. I then stamped the beautiful floral heart from the Bloomin' Love stamp set and added some of the die cut flowers using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die.

The XOXO is also from the Bloomin' Love stamp set. With a few leaves from the Bird Builder Punch tucked under the top layer and a few Basic Jewel Rhinestones added to the centre of the flowers, the card was done.

The beauty of using a sentiment like the XOXO is that this doesn't have to be just a Valentines card. It could be an Engagement, Wedding, Anniversary or even a Birthday card. Or even a "just because" card.

I hope you like the card and I have inspired you to get creative.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle

  3. All those layers of DSP make this look so very lush and textured Narelle! I love how you have the leaves peeping out of the panels - ties in the themes beautifully. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
