Rose Wonder is a very apt name for this stamp set. This Rose is simply wonderful. It is a very large stamp that takes up most of the card front. But the things you can do with it are many.
For my card today I got inspiration from Patty Bennett in the USA.
It is actually a card for my Mother's Birthday which was at the end of January.
You can't see the shimmer in this picture, but trust me it is there.
I coloured the rose and petals with the Clear Wink of Stella brush and our classic ink pads. The technique is the same as if you were watercolouring with an aqua pen. You pull the ink off the lid of the stamp pad with the Wink of Stella pen instead of an aqua pen. It's that simple. I probably haven't explained it well at all. Luckily I made a video. But as technology so often has its own way of derailing the best laid plans, the editing and conversion process has hit a brick wall. The video will be up some time this week on my YouTube channel. So pop over and subscribe so you don't miss it when it is uploaded.
After I coloured the rose I then cut the large rose shape frame using the Rose Garden Thinlits Die. It was cut in the Gold Sheet.
I hope my Mother liked it. I will find out tonight if she received her parcel with her present and card. I am sure she would of loved it. She loves everything I do. But then again she is probably a bit biased.
