Shabby Chic Parade

Yes some people may say I am obsessed with  Shabby Chic. I'm not allowed much at home in the way of home decor because my husband doesn't want to live in a "frilly" So when I saw all the shabby loveliness in the Occasions Catalogue, I was instantly in love.

So today I thought I would highlight some of the projects I have done recently using some of this shabby loveliness. You may have seen some of them already, but when you make it to the end, I can guarantee that you haven't seen the last two projects.

So first up in my Shabby Chic Parade, is a couple of cards.

Then there is the scrapbook page that I did. I LOVE this page if I do say so I love how the sponging of the Whisper White card stock using the Hearts & Stars Decorative mask created the perfect background paper. And the punched and scrunched cardstock created the perfect flowers.

And lastly in my Shabby Chic Parade is a couple of Curvy Keepsake boxes. These are new as I only just thought of these in the shower last I come up with a lot of ideas in the shower. So when I thought of them last night I knew I had to try to make them straight away. What do you think of them ?

One of them I cut out the side of the Curvy Keepsake box using the heart die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die. Then I cut out a white Bloomin' Heart die. I glued it behind the heart cut out and trimmed it.

The second one was a lot more fiddly to do and half way through I wondered if perhaps the water from my shower had got into my For this one, I replaced one side of the curvy keepsake with the Bloomin' Love die. It took a lot of persuading of the card stock to get a nice shape. But I was determined to not let it beat me. I think it didn't  turn out too bad at all. I am sure with more work it could be perfected.

I put the battery operated candles in them, but you could put treats in them. I can see these being used as bombonieres for weddings, engagements, christenings and other such occasions.

I hope you have enjoyed my Shabby Chic Parade. To purchase any of the products I have used, just pop into my online store. It is open 24 hours. Feel free to pop me a note if you have any questions.
