This week I had reason to make a Sympathy card. I was so sad to hear that one of my regular class ladies lost her husband to cancer. It is never a nice thing to hear about, and I pray for the family.
When I was looking at what to use for the card, I suddenly realised that I actually have no medium or large Sympathy sentiments in my stash. How does that happen? So I had to settle for Thinking of You. It is a good substitute I think.
To create the look of the leaves, I simply just stamped them and then spritzed them with water. It creates a really different look. To soften the flowers I used a Blender Pen after I had stamped them in Melon Mambo. To see all the products I used, see the listing at the end of the post.
My inspiration for the layout of this card came from the current sketch over at Case This Sketch. I turned the sketch sideways and came up with this card. I hope you like it.
