Today I am featuring the Picture Perfect stamp set again. But this time I wanted to highlight the beautiful star fish in the set. It is such a great design that it can stand on its own without too much embellishment.
Because it is a starfish, and therefore from the sea, I thought of incorporating the sea somehow in my card, but was a bit perplexed as to how to do this. Then I was browsing pinterest and saw a fantastic card that had recreated the beach and surf. I can't remember who had done it as I didn't pin it.
Here is my version of what I can remember of the card I saw.
To recreate the beach and surf, I just sponged a piece of whisper white card stock with a blue ink and crumb cake ink. Then stamped the gorgeous grunge stamps in versamark, and heat embossed in white. I think it came up a treat.
The starfish was stamped in soft suede and crushed curry on crumb cake card stock. It has a fantastic 3d look but has no dimension at all. That's how good the stamp is. It creates a wonderful illusion.
The patterned paper I used on the base of the card is the wonderful Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration freebies.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
