I think everyone at one time has picked a Dandelion and blown away the fronds. It is so much fun and something I admit to still doing as an adult. So when I saw the Dandelion frond paper in the recent Sale-a-Bration items, I knew I just had to try and make one.
I know Sale-A-Bration is ended, but if you were lucky enough to grab this paper, then you can recreate this card. The paper in the pack is black and white, but I wanted to tie it in with the colours I used for the front panel. So I simply sponged it with Blackberry Bliss.
Now don't look too closely as my Dandelion is not perfect. I had to stamp each frond to make the round shape and I wasn't completely successful. I suppose it isn't too bad since I was stamping in versamark on whisper white, so it was a bit hard to see exactly where I had already stamped. Once all the fronds were stamped, I then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I added the fronds that were blowing away and sponged over the entire piece in Blackberry Bliss and Pool Party.
You are probably wondering where on earth I got the frond stamp from. Well it is from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. It is easy to miss and it took me several months of owning and using this stamp set to realise it was there and what it was.
I hope I have inspired you to recreate this card, or at least go find a Dandelion and relive your childhood.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a great day.
