Today I am featuring another stamp set that is on the Retiring Product List .....Sassy Salutations.
I have teed it up with Sheltering Tree. I have used both these sets quite a lot as they are very versatile. The tree can be stamped for any season and lots of occasions. I have used it for Sympathy, Birthday and even Christmas. Here is what I did with it today.
I embossed the front of the Mint Macaron card using another retiring product- Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.
I then cut a few wide strips of different colour card stock and embossed them as well. Then I cut a curve in them. The colours I used were Cucumber Crush and Tip Top Taupe.
On the whisper white piece of card stock I stamped the small bunch of leaves all over in Mint Macaron. You will notice that they are quite pale. I stamped off before I stamped on the whisper white. Stamping off is a technique where you ink up the stamp and before you stamp onto your project you stamp onto a scrap piece of paper to remove some of the ink. This results in a paler stamped image which is perfect for backgrounds or when you want a softer effect.
The tree was then stamped in Tip Top Taupe and the leaves were stamped in Cucumber Crush.
Thankyou was also stamped in Tip Top Taupe. The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations. I will miss this one immensely as the set has a great range of phrases and a fantastic font.
I tied some Mint Macaron ribbon and Linen Thread aroud the whisper white panel. This is one of the new ribbons coming in the new Annual Catalogue.
The last step was gluing on a couple of silver sequins on the tree using the Fine Tip Glue pen.
As I have mentioned, I have used a few retiring products on this card, so make sure you grab them before they are gone for good.
Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day and keep on stamping.
