Today I have a layout to share with you that I did for the mid month reveal over at Off the Rails Scrapbooking. Aprils' theme is Water Colour and includes a fabulous mood board.
I took my inspiration from the pink flamingo. Here is what I made.
This is quite an old picture of my daughter as she is nearly twelve. I scrapped this photo for a couple of reasons. I knew this picture would work well with the pink colour of the flamingo on the mood board, plus I haven't even scrapped half of the photos I should have of when my children were small. And even if I had of scrapped this photo before, I have been known to scrap them again if I am inspired by something new.
The challenge this month is Water Colour, so I used Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Rose Red inks with an aqua painter. And even though I used Whisper White card stock, I still got a great effect. But as I tend to not plan what I am doing before I start, I make it up as I go along, once I had done the water colouring I noticed the water wash stamp in the Number of Years stamp set. So I added a few of those as well. I really liked the look of that on top of the water colouring so I did more, actually I did lots more.....
I then finished the layout off with some beautiful flowers from the Botanical Builders framelits. I am so in love with these. If I could use them on every single project I did, I would be one happy lady.
Make sure you visit Off The Rails for lots more beautiful layouts from the talented bunch of ladies.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a great day.
