Just Add Ink

Todays card is brought to you by the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge. I sat at my desk and was stumped as to what I wanted to do. So I looked up a few challenge sites and settled on doing this one.

But the card I envisaged in my head did not quite turn out that way. But what the heck I thought, it's not too bad, it is half decent. So thought I would enter it into the challenge anway.....lol

Wetlands - Narelle Fasulo - Simply Stamping with Narelle

I am happy that this stamp set, Wetlands, is carrying over to the new catalogue. It is great for male cards.

I am  not 100% happy with this card. I think the ovals are too small, I don't like how the masking tape ink effect turned out, and I don't like my water colouring of the duck either. There are other things as well I dislike, but I guess we are our own worse critics sometimes. But I had fun creating it. I loved each step in making it, and you know, sometimes that's all that matters.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle

  1. You've created a fabulous masculine card Narelle! I love the clouds effect your masking gives the sky - so realistic! And your hardwood background sets the scene so beutifully too. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week :-)

  2. I think your card is really lovely Narelle. I really love the effect you have in the back ground.....looks a bit like crayon? I love how you have put all the colours together. Chantell JAI

  3. Yes, you ARE being too hard on yourself, Narelle! This is a great card. I love that you chose Pacific Point as the main colour; it's really striking. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week!

  4. We are always our worst critics when it comes to our cards. I think this is way better than 'half way decent', it looks perfect to me and I love the scene you created in the middle. And I really like the blue woodgrain paper too. So very glad you decided to join us at Just Add Ink!!!

  6. You are too hard on yourself - the masking tape background was one of the first things to catch my eye and I thought it looked fantastic. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Add Ink.
