Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects. This week we are focusing on Leaves and Foliage. We have some fantastic products in the catalogue that you can use for this theme. Today I choose to use a couple of my favourites - the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and the matching Botanical Builder Framelits.
I decided to do a scrapbook page this time around. I have sadly neglected my scrapbooking for some years now. I have so many photos waiting to be shown off. I do Project Life more often now, but I still do love to do the traditional pages.
This was such a quick and easy page to put together. I stamped the edges of a 12"x 12" sheet of Whisper White paper with a mix of Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron, using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.
I then got a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 8 1/4" x 7 3/4" and stamped the leaf pattern from the Botanical Blooms stamp set in Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron. I started by stamping the bottom row in alternating colours. Then I stamped the second row, but I offset them. I continued with this pattern until the whole piece was covered. I had used this pattern on a card a little while ago and thought it would make an interesting background for a layout.
A technique like this is fantastic for when you don't have the right designer series paper to suite what you want to do.
Have you seen this stamp set in the catalogue. You really need to get it. I have seen so many wonderful creations using it.
I then sponged around all the pieces of cardstock and the page as well. The other elements on the page are cut from the Botanical Builders framelits which coordinate with the Botanical Blooms stamp set. If you get the stamp set, you really do need to get the framelits as well.
Now that you have seen my project, it is time to check out what the other Latte Girls have been up to.
Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
