#frommetoyouwhenyouarefeelingblu

Today I am playing along with an International Blog Highlight hosted by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Kylie Bertucci. Kylie sets a theme and any one who wants to play along just creates an  item and does a blog  post for it. Simple. And so much fun. I have played along with these before, and wanted to do it again.  Did you know that you can vote on your favourite projects in this blog hop. So make sure you read all the way to the bottom of my post to find that voting link. I would love it if you showed me some love and voted for me.

The theme for this blog hop is From Me To You When You Are Feeling Blu. At times there are people we know who are struggling with depression or just having a lousy time. So why not send them some love and kindness. Let them know that you are thinking of them.  It is a powerful thing to receive a handmade card containing encouraging words.

This is the card that I made.

I have a friend in mind that I will be sending this card to. I can't tell you anymore than that, because then she will know it is for her. I want it to be a surprise.

I used the Flower Patch stamp set on this card. I let my daughter pick the stamp set I should use. I sat at  my desk and was slightly overwhelmed with all the choices before me. So when she came into the room I told her the brief and asked her to pick a set. I was at first disappointed that she didn't pick a new stamp set, but in the end I am glad that she chose this one. Sometimes we forget the older stamp sets when a new catalogue comes out.

Some may look at this card and query the dark colours on it. They don't exactly cheer you up instantly. Not like a bright bold card. But I wanted to portray that in amongst all the darkness, a spot of colour and hope can emerge like a  beautiful flower. I know, its a bit deep...lol...and I hope my friend gets it.

OK at the top of my post I mentioned that you can vote for your favourite creations in this blog hop. I hope you loved my card enough to vote for me.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
