Open Front Card

Today I have, what I call, an Open Front card to share with you. This is a card where the front is not solid and has quite significant empty space, or gaps. I first did a card like this a few years ago with cute trees, but thought it would be a great card to include in the October Stamping By Mail class, using the Seasonal Bells bundle.

This really is a simple card to make, but I can't share with you how I did it, as my class members have exclusive access to the instructions and a video.

I love the bells, they are such a classic symbol of Christmas. And I love anything red and green for Christmas. Yes I am a bit of a traditionalist. My daughter asks every year if we could perhaps decorate the tree and house in different colours the following year. Of course I say yes,but for some reason, it never happens. I wonder why.....Maybe one year I will surprise her.

I used the wonderful Bow Builder Punch to make the bow above the middle bell. Sometimes you just need an accent, but ribbon doesn't suite somehow.

Remember that my Stamping By Mail classes are very popular, so make sure you check out the December class that has just been released. It isn't a Christmas theme this time, but rather a lovely soft feminine theme.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
