Freshly Brewed Projects - Flower Dies

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week it is all about Flower Dies.

Boy oh boy, do we have a lot of flower dies in our current catalogues. With even more to come in our Occasions Catalogue to be released January 4.

For today I chose to use the Rose Garden Thinlits with a technique that I have wanted to do more of for some time. I was inspired to make this card by all the beautiful rainbow roses you see around in florists and online. These ones.

I love these roses and one day I might buy some for no other reason that I think they are so bright and beautiful. Don't we all need to spoil ourselves sometimes with something beautiful.

Here is the card I made which was inspired by these roses.

Rose Garden Thinlits - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here -

To recreate the variegated look of the rainbow roses, I cut out the rose die several times. Once for the black border and once each for different colours I used to paper piece back into the outline. On the rose I used Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo. The leaves were done with Garden Green and Old Olive.

Paper piecing like this has so many wonderful opportunities. Why not give it a go and see what you can come up with.

Now that you have seen what I have made, it's time to see what the other Latte Girls have been up to.

Don't forget there is still time to grab those Christmas goodies you want from the Holiday Catalogue.
