Pretty Kitty

A few weeks ago it was my daughters 12th birthday. And thanks to Stampin' Up! I had the perfect stamp set to make her birthday card with - Pretty Kitty. You see, she is crazy about cats. And even though we have a cat, she wants more. I think when she reaches old age she will be one of those crazy cat ladies.

Here is the card I made for her.

Pretty Kitty - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141864&dbwsdemoid=4008228

I got the idea for the background from a discussion I saw on a demonstrator facebook page. Someone mentioned that the Stitched Shapes Framelits would be popular with quilters and sewers. I then started thinking quilts, and even though a quilt wasn't the right look for this card, it did give me the idea to create a checkered type background. It worked perfectly as I didn't want a pattern paper to distract from the kitty. And the little stitched detail adds just the right amount of detail so that it doesn't look like plain squares and doesn't take the focus off the kitty.

I coloured the kitty to look like our cat which is a Chocolate Point Ragdoll called Angel. Here she is helping me unpack a recent delivery.

There are more cute kitties in this stamp set, and if you have a cat lover in your family, they will fall in love with these cuties.

Now I did mention earlier that my daughter is cat crazy. So it will come as no surprise that for her birthday treat she wanted to go to the cat cafe Catmosphere Space Cat Café, in Surry Hills. Here she is in her element.

If you have someone who will appreciate some cats on a card, then make sure you grab this set today. And while you are in my online store, check out the Year End Closeouts for some great bargains.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
