Today I have a fun project to share with you. It is a traditional 12"x 12" scrap page using Project Life.
I have been a scrapper for the past 16 years. I started when my first child was born. But as life has got busier and I have fallen in love with making cards, the amount of scrap pages I complete has rapidly declined. The reason for that is simple. I got to the stage in my scrapping where the photos started to take a back seat to all the pretty design elements on the page. So the pages were taking longer and longer to complete. Cards are much quicker.
But pages don't need to take that long anymore. Simply use the Project Life cards on your page and you can get through your pages much quicker. Don't get me wrong, I love the traditional pocket page style of Project Life, but sometimes you want a more traditional layout. So why not combine the two.
On this page I have used the Dear Santa journaling card from the Hello December 2016 card collection, to add a combined design element and journaling space. The To Do List card was used in the same way. Both are quick and easy elements to add that serve as design elements but are functional as well. The lettering, Rupert and Naughty? Nice? , were done with the alpha stickers that come in the Hello December 2016 accessory pack. I then just had to add a few other elements to finish the page.
I made this layout for the December challenge over at Off The Rails Scrapbooking. Check out the amazing mood board.
So why not pop over and enter into the challenge. There are always great prizes on offer.
