Freshly Brewed Projects - Christmas

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week it is all about Christmas.

I can't believe that Christmas is only 4 weeks away. And I know I probably say this every year, but gee has this year flown by. I think back to all the things that I didn't get a chance to do, and will probably promise to do the same things this New Years Eve.

I know I am definitely not ready for Christmas yet. This afternoon on the way home from school, my daughter asked if we could put the Christmas decorations up when we got home. I just froze.....not already. I told her it was bad luck to put them up before December 1. I have no idea if that is true or not, but that's my story, and I am sticking to it.

Actually there is one part of Christmas that I am ahead of the game in. And that is Christmas cards. I have been making  them for months. I probably have enough for family and friends now. There is just so much to love in the Christmas Catalogue, and of course I had to have it all.

So here is another one I made. This time using the gorgeous Santa's Sleigh bundle.

Santa's Sleigh Bundle -Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=143499&dbwsdemoid=4008228

I have used the beautiful Softly Falling Embossing Folder as well as the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. Both of these give the effect of snow and make for a lovely winter scene.

To see all the products I have used on this card, and learn how to get a discount on them, just scroll to the bottom of my post.

But now it is time to head over to see what the other Latte Girls have been up to.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

Just a Note to Lift Your Spirits

Today I have a card to share with you using a new bundle from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. It is the Lift Me Up Bundle.

This is an amazing stamp set with matching framelits. I predict they will be very popular. I think they may even be the bundle I choose for January's Stamping By Mail. Stay tuned.

Here is the card.

Lift Me Up Bundle -Simply Stamping with Narelle

I made this card for three reasons. One was to give you a sneak peek of a new product. The second was for a challenge. But by the time I got around to adding the card to my site, the challenge had closed. Oh well, maybe next time I should be more organised and get it done earlier.

The third reason I wanted to make this card was for my father. He has been unwell since July with heart and kidney problems. We nearly lost him a few times. He is currently in hospital recovering from an amputation. It is hard being so far away from my parents when they need me the most. So the least I could do was make a card to help lift my Dad's spirits.

This is just one of the wonderful new things in the Occasions Catalogue starting January 4. If you want a free copy then make sure you register HERE.

Beautiful You

Today I have a little sneak peek of a new stamp set in the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. When I was at OnStage in Brisbane at the start of the month, I won the first prize patrol. The prize as an amazing stamp set called Beautiful You. Here is a card I have made with it.

Beautiful You - Sneak Peek - Simply Stamping with Narelle

I made this card for my niece who turned 18 during the week. I thought it was so appropriate for a young woman who has come of age with the world ahead of her. She has just finished the HSC and eagerly awaiting her results. I know she will do well, and the world will be her oyster.

Because I can not show you the catalogue page as yet, here is a picture of the stamp set.

Beautiful You - Sneak Peek - Simply Stamping with Narelle

I also used the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape on this card. These have been on sale during the Online Extravaganza

Today is the last day of the sale, so make sure you don't miss out any great bargains. And it is ending with a bang, with a One Day Super Sale. Which, by the way, sees the amazing Magnetic Platform on sale. Just click on the graphic below to go straight to my Online Store and grab a bargain.

My Holiday Catalogue Favourite

Hello and welcome to the  ESAD Favourite Products from the Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.

You have probably just got here by visiting Monique Fielder. Didn't she do a great job!

There are so many wonderful projects in this catalogue. It is hard to narrow down to just one. But I did manage to select just one in the end.

My favourite product from the Holiday Catalogue is a bundle. A coordinating stamp set and punch. The Seasonal Bells Bundle.

Seasonal Bells Bundle - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=143533&dbwsdemoid=4008228
Bells to me are synonymous with Christmas. And when I saw this set in the catalogue I has just had to have it. I loved it that much, I created a whole Stamping By Mail class around it.

Here is one of the projects I created for that class.

Seasonal Bells Bundle - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=143533&dbwsdemoid=4008228

The bells on this card are meant to look like they are swaying gently on a tree. To achieve that I created a faux shadow behind them using Silver Foil Paper.

Now that you have seen what I have done, make sure you take the time to pop around to see what every one else has done.

The next person you will visit is Nerida Carter. But if you get lost along the way, you can always come back here and take up where you left off. I have the complete list of blogs just a bit further down my page.

Are you curious to know what ESAD is?

Complete list of blogs in case you get lost.

Thanks for hopping by.
Have a great day.

Another great punch

Today I want to introduce you to another great punch, which also happens to be on sale as part of the Online Extravaganza. The Blossom Builder Punch. Here is a card I made with it.

Blossom Builder Punch - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141469&dbwsdemoid=4008228

There are so many possibilities with this punch. I have only just scratched the surface. It is also available as a bundle with the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set. I have used this bundle quite a few times now and have fallen in love with it.

Blossom Bunch Punch

I just love the Blossom Bunch Punch. Not only is the name cool, but it also makes the most amazing flowers. Have you noticed that this punch is on the Online Extravaganza sale. Here is a card I made using it this week.

Blossom Bunch Punch - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140612&dbwsdemoid=4008228

It coordinates with the Grateful Bunch stamp set.  I haven't used this stamp set and punch a great deal. It was another set that I had to have as soon as I saw them. I have no idea why I have waited so long to use them. They make for gorgeous shabby chic style cards, which is what I love.

It is such a bonus that this punch is on sale at the moment. But only till Monday 28th November.

So make sure you don't miss out on this punch, or any of the items on sale.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

Bunch of Banners

Not every card we make has to have lots of layers and lots of elements on it. Sometimes the simple cards are the nicest. Especially when using something like the Bunch of Banners framelits. They are really magnificent and should steal the show. Just like on this card I have made.

Bunch of Banners - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141488&dbwsdemoid=4008228

Such a simple and easy card with very little embellishment. I wanted the banners to be the focus. I chose to use a paper from the Serene Scenery paper stack as they are very natural looking designs. The only embellishment on the card is the circle of Linen Thread. This is a very simple but striking card.

The Bunch of Banners framelits just happen to be on special this week as part of the Online Extravaganza. So grab them today while they are still 20% off.

Adventure awaits

Today I have an Adventure themed card for you. Not because  I am big into the outdoors, but because it is the theme of the current Global Design Project's challenge.

Here is the card I made for it.

Foxy Friends - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=142326&dbwsdemoid=4008228

When I saw the challenge I jumped at the chance to play along. Mainly because I have not given as much love as I should have to my Fox Builder Punch and Foxy Friends stamp set. This was a bundle that when I first saw in the catalogue, I just had to have. I know we all have products like that, right.

I think you will agree that fox is super cute. The trees are from the same stamp set, and the Happy Birthday is from Endless Birthday Wishes. The patterned paper in the background is from the Affectionately Yours paper pack which happens to be 20% off this week as part of the Online Extravaganza. The other product on special that I have used, is the matching Affectionately Yours Washi Tape.  Did you notice that I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits. These are so popular that they are actually on back order. You can still add them to your cart, they will just be delayed in shipping. Everything else will be shipped from your order, the framelits will be shipped when a new container arrives.

So make sure you add them to your order while you are grabbing all the bargains from the Online Extravaganza.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

Freshly Brewed Projects - Emboss Resist

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week it is all about Emboss Resist.

Emboss Resist is such a fun technique. Normally it involves embossing using Versamark ink and then pouring over an embossing powder, and finally heating it to melt the powder.  Once melted you sponge over the embossing to reveal the stamped image.

But Stampin' Up! have made it so easy for everyone to do this technique, without having to by lots of supplies. They have created some wonderful self embossed papers that are perfect for this technique. One of them is Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.

So this paper already has the embossing on it, and all you need to do , is sponge over the top to reveal the pattern. So so easy.

Here is the card  I made using this paper.

Irresistibly Floral - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141644&dbwsdemoid=4008228

I am in love the lattice patterned paper in the pack. But there are lots of other lovely patterns as well.

Irresistibly Floral - Simply Stamping with Narelle - available here - http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141644&dbwsdemoid=4008228

I inked the paper using a sponge, then rubbed the ink off the embossed part with a tissue so that it came back to brillirant white. I then added some die cuts and a sentiment. Such a quick and easy card.

Now that you have seen what I have created, it is time to head over to see what the other Latte Girls have been up to.

But before you go, I just wanted to remind you about the Online Extravaganza that is happening now. From 21st - 28th November, you can grab some great products at up to 40% off. But if you want an even greater discount, then consider joining my team. Then you can save up to a massive 60% off.

I chose to use the Fruit Stand bundle as I wanted a bright fun set of cards and box. This bundle is just so much fun to work with. I love the bright bold patterns of the designer series paper and the cute fruit stamps.

I think anyone would be excited to receive this gorgeous box full of bright and cheery cards.

Now that you have seen my project, pop over to the other Latte Girls to see what they have come up with.

International Blog Hop

Welcome to an International Bog Hop hosted by the lovely Kylie Bertucci. Well it is a hop of sorts. Actually it is more like a visual board choc full of gorgeous projects from demonstrators all over the world. So it is a gallery of visual beauty.

Here is the card I made for the board. The theme is LOVE. I may have stretched the interpretation slightly. Everyone LOVE's cupcakes  and everyone LOVE's birthdays, right? So my card is on theme then. Don't you agree !

The reason I chose to make this card was two fold. I wanted to use some product that I have sadly neglected, plus I wanted to highlight some items that are on special during the Online Extravaganza. More about that later.

Now it's time to check out all the gorgeous work of demonstrators across the globe. We would really appreciate it, if you could spare the time to visit each person and leave some love.

Now back to the details of my card.

The cupcake cutout framelits are on special and are in fact 20% OFF till 28th November. So grab them at a discount while you can. There are a heap of things at 20% OFF. Check them all out below.
