Freshly Brewed Projects - 4 for 1 Masked Cards

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week we are sharing a fun technique with you. 4 for 1 Masked Cards.

This is such a fun technique and one you have probably seen before. But this one has a small twist to it.

First here are the cards I made using it, then I will explain how it was done and what the twist is.

Ok so you have probably done some masking in the past. You have created a shape out of scrap card stock or a post it note, or something similar. You have used it to cover up a section of card and then stamped over it to create a clean area surrounded by stamped images.

Well this technique is the same, but the twist is, that you actually create the mask out of card stock that you then use on another card.
You start with two card bases and separate piece of card front. You die cut a shape in the  separate card front piece. Then using temporary adhesive, you put the card front piece on one card base, and the die cut piece onto the other card base.

Now you stamp your design around the die cut, ensuring that you stamp across where the two pieces meet. You will need to press a little more firmly than normal to ensure that the stamped image stamps clean.

Once all stamped, remove the two pieces temporarily attached to the card bases. What you will have now is two stamped card bases and two separate stamped pieces. Stamp a sentiment onto the separate die cut shape, and in the middle of the stamped design on the two stamped card bases.

Using dimensionals, mount the two separate pieces onto another two card bases. Then stamp a sentiment onto the card base that has the raised stamped piece on it. You will now have 4 cards from the 2 that you stamped.

Two with the card bases stamped.

This is such a fun technique and one I hope you will try real soon.
Now you have seen my projects, make sure you pop on over to all the other Latte Girls blogs to see what they have done with this technique.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
