Freshly Brewed Projects - Eclipse

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls. This week we are sharing projects using the fantastic Eclipse technique.

If you don't know what this technique involves, stay tuned and I will fill you in. But for now, here is the card that I made using it.

So what is the Eclipse technique? It is literally raising a part of the stamped card front and keeping the pattern uninterrupted. People mainly use a word as the raised element, but you could really do anything. That is one aspect I want to play with, using something other than letters.

With my card above, I stamped the bird houses from the Flying Home stamp set twice onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I then coloured them using Water colour pencils and an Aqua Pen. I then used the Large Letters Framelits Dies and cut out the word HOME. Then I glued the stamped panel to a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. The words were then put back into their spots using dimensionals so that they are raised. This is essentially the Eclipse technique.

If you want to create a card like mine, here are some of the supplies you may need.

Have a great day.
