Water coloured High Tide

Welcome to the last in my series on the High Tide stamp set. Today I am highlighting a technique I used with this set. Both cards have water coloured elements.

I love the subtle look to water colouring. It is perfect for the background on this card. Such a different look to all the other cards in the series so far.

Most of  the cards in this series are single layer cards. That's a sign of a really great stamp set when you don't need to add a lot else to your project. About the only exception to that in this series, is the one below. The light house has been popped up onto dimensionals, some linen thread added and a raised sentiment has been added.

Water colouring has been used on this card as well. But such a dramatically different look has been achieved. This card has a more windswept and ocean edge to it. This look was achieved simply by using several different colours in each of the water and land surface elements.

You need this stamp set in your life. As you have seen in the different projects  I have shown you, there is so much you can do with this set. I have only shown you a small amount of the possibilities available. So make sure you grab this set today to add to your collection.

For me it has to be a seasonal one. Hang Your Stocking.

I just love this stamp set as it is so versatile. Add the framelits and you have a whole world of possibilities before you. But even without the framelits, there is so much you can do with this stamp set. Here is a collage of some projects I have made over the time this set has been available.

More High Tide

Welcome to another installment in my series on the High Tide stamp set.

I love this set more than I thought I would. And  that's because I found it to be so much more versatile than I first thought. The variety of cards I could make was great.

I just can't get over how you make a light house look so different on every card. I guess its partly where on the card it's stamped, the colours used, the other stamped elements on the card, that all contribute to the overall look. With this one I decided to add the light beam, which is another element again.

Just because there is a light house in the set doesn't mean it has to be on every card. With the card below I decided to focus on the birds instead.

Using the mirror technique I was able to get a really cool reflection that looked like the water was rippled with a breeze.

Colourful High Tide

Welcome to the second installment of the High Tide series. In this post we introduce colour. One the advantages of working with a stamp set  that has an ocean overture, is that you get to play with loads of colour as you capture sunsets and sunrises. This first card could be either.

I just love  the richness of this card. The deep orange of a sunset and the reflection of the water is just magical. I was inspired to create this card by what I see below every afternoon on my walk.

I hope I captured it in the card and did it justice. I never get tired of this view.

At times though it can get stormy with dark clouds building. I don't have a photo to show you of that, but I did try to recreate it in this card.

This card is not so serene and peaceful looking. It reminds me of a windswept rocky outcrop with storm clouds building. It is amazing what you can achieve with ink, paper and a sponge. And how you can get so many different looks from the one stamp set.

High Tide

Welcome to a new series featuring the High Tide stamp set. In this series I will show you a variety of projects using this stamp set. In this post I will show you the first two.

Create the most amazing male cards with the High Tide stamp set - get yours here - http://bit.ly/2nSlOyd

I just love the crispness of this first card. The red lighthouse with no coloured background like water, makes for a simple and clean card. With just one layer glued to the card base, it is an easy card to replicate.

This second card is just as crisp and clean. It does however have a little more detail. I love  the birds on the edge of the rocks looking at the water as if they are waiting for fish to swoop in and catch.

Again there is no dimension on this card, but there is an extra layer to give some more colour.  I wanted the sentiments on these cards to not get lost in the details, hence the single layer stamping and lack of embellishments.

How lucky are we that this stamp set will be continuing into the new catalogue. It is a timeless classic that everyone needs to have in their stash. Grab yours today by clicking on the image below.
