Water coloured High Tide

Welcome to the last in my series on the High Tide stamp set. Today I am highlighting a technique I used with this set. Both cards have water coloured elements.

I love the subtle look to water colouring. It is perfect for the background on this card. Such a different look to all the other cards in the series so far.

Most of  the cards in this series are single layer cards. That's a sign of a really great stamp set when you don't need to add a lot else to your project. About the only exception to that in this series, is the one below. The light house has been popped up onto dimensionals, some linen thread added and a raised sentiment has been added.

Water colouring has been used on this card as well. But such a dramatically different look has been achieved. This card has a more windswept and ocean edge to it. This look was achieved simply by using several different colours in each of the water and land surface elements.
