Global Stamping Friends

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today it is time for another Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This time we are highlighting products from the new Holiday Catalogue. There are so many wonderful products to choose from. So you are sure to be so inspired by what everyone has done.

One of the stamp sets that caught my eye when I first looked at the catalogue was the Winter Woods stamp set. Not your traditional Christmas product and not really something new. I mean we already have a bunch of tree stamps in our range. But this one was special. It has the most gorgeous large pine tree, a great grove of winter trees and the coolest tree trunks.

I actually saw tress with trunks just like those trunks in the stamp set. I was watching golf with my husband and the golf course had trees like that all around it. He couldn't understand when I got excited.
I have been itching to use this stamp set, and I did just that for this blog hop.

The design for this card was taken loosely off a video that is going around at the moment. Sparklers are placed on wet tiles and set alight. They make a really cool tree pattern, somewhat similar to these trees in the Winter Woods stamp set. You may have seen the video. I didn't do any burning for this card though. I just stamped the trees in Soft Suede then spritzed them with water. When they were dry I stamped over the top again.

I added lots of little details on this card. There is Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper under the stamped panel. I also added splatters of Copper Shimmer Paint and Frost White Shimmer Paint. Then the Noel from the Festive Farmhouse Elements was heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. There is so much sparkle and shine on this card.

Now that you have seen my project, hop over to see what Sarah has done.

If you are interested in any of the products I have used on todays project, please see the product list below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
