Stamping Techniques To Try - Chalkboard

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today it is time for the Stamping Techniques To Try blog hop. Each month we highlight a fun stamping technique. This month it is all about the Chalkboard or Blackboard technique. This is a deceptively simple and fun technique.

The chalkboard technique has been around a long time, but like all techniques, it is one that we often forget about. It is so easy to do, yet very effective. There are a few variations too, so watch the video from Stampin' Up! below to see more.

As you can see from this video, it really is easy. Today I chose to use the method of stamping onto black card stock using the Whisper White Craft ink. It really can't get much simpler than that.

I love the classic black and white look on anything, but add that slightly faded chalkboard look and it transforms the whole look.

I added a pop of colour with the flowers and sprigs from the same product suite I used to create the hanging vines. It is the Frosted Floral product suite in the Holiday Catalogue. I love a good floral, so this was the first product suite on my shopping list.

I  loved this product suite so much, I created an Online Class using it. Be sure to check it out by clicking on the image below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
