Hello and welcome to my blog. It is time for another Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. The theme is Halloween.
So in Australia, not a lot of people celebrate Halloween and I don't think anyone sends cards. But I do have a few friends who have Halloween parties. So that got me thinking that perhaps a party prop would be fun to make. So that's what I did. I made a fun Spells prop book.
I had so much fun making this spells book. It was messy and took some time, but the process was so different to making cards, and I loved every minute of it. I started with just a normal notepad that I covered in White Embossing Powder.
While the embossing paste was drying, I coloured some of the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper. I used Brusho and made it really dark.
While the paper was still damp, I glued it to the front of the notepad, making sure that I squished into the bumps and lumps created from the embossing paste. Then I sponged across the all the bumpy bits with black ink. Also while the paper is damp, tear off the edges.
Then I had lots of fun decorating
