Dashing Deer

Hello and welcome to my blog. Todays card was one that I cased from a Stampin' Up! photo. I think it was a promo for a limited edition designer series paper. I loved it so much, I had to recreate it.

Love nature themed cards for Christmas? Then look no further than the Dashing Deer stamp set and framelits for your card making this Christmas. See it here - http://bit.ly/DashingDeerBundle

It's not my normal style, but there is nothing wrong with trying something new. I especially love the technique to create the background for the deer. You just swipe across the glossy white card stock with your ink pad. So easy and so effective. I love the look it creates. The deer were then stamped over the top. I love these deer, so elegant.

Dashing Deer

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have another Christmas card for you today. This one is made using the wonderful Dashing Deer products.

Make beautiful cards easily with our extensive range of coordinating products. See the full range here - http://bit.ly/shopwithnarelle

A very different colour scheme to what I normally use. But I love it. The gray and white tones on some of the papers in the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper was the inspiration for this card. I love the paper you can see on this card that has the white deers on it. The copper stars prompted the use of the copper foil sheet for an accent. Overall, I think this turned out quite nice.

Making Christmas Bright

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a cute Christmas card to share with you using the Making Christmas Bright bundle. I love this stamp set and punch combination. The lights remind me so much of the type of lights we had on the Christmas tree growing up.

Make a stunning Christmas card like this using our great stamp and punch bundle called Making Christmas Bright. See it here - http://bit.ly/MakingChristmasBrightBundle

If you haven't seen this bundle, it is below. I love the lights you can make, but there is so much more to this set. I have made reindeers using the punch, and wreaths using the circle stamp and stars. I have even made a curtain of twinkling star lights. The possibilities are endless with this set.

To get the light glow from these lights, just use a sponge dauber and ink to shade where the bulb will sit. Adhere the bulbs with a dimensional for added depth. Too easy!

Ink & Inspiration - Christmas

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today is time for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. The theme this month is Christmas.

I don't know about you, but I can't get enough of Christmas. I think it has rubbed off on my daughter too, as she has been asking for a month now when we can put the Christmas tree up. Yesterday we even went shopping for outdoor lights for the house. Her theory was that they sell out really fast so we had to get them now.

So I was more than happy to create a Christmas card for todays blog hop. I purposely created a  cool looking card because it has been so hot and muggy the last few days. So creating a cool looking card was meant to cool me down. Strangely enough, it didn't work.....

Dreaming of a white Christmas? Make perfect cards using our Snowflake Showcase products and white embossing. See our complete range of products here - http://bit.ly/shopwithnarelle

I have used the gorgeous Snowflake Showcase products on this card. These are a limited edition range of stamps, dies, paper and embellishments. They are only available until the end of November or until sold out. They haven't sold out yet, so you can still grab them here.

The technique I have used on this card is emboss resist. To do this, you stamp your image in Versamark, then heat emboss white embossing powder over the top. Then to make it stand out from the white card stock, you colour the background and then wipe over the embossed images to make them stand out. I spritzed the background with a mix of rubbing alcohol and reinkers.

Now that you have seen my card, it's time to see what everyone has created.
