Global Stamping Friends - Memories & More

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today it is time for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This time around we are highlighting the amazing Memories & More product line.

I used to spend a long time scrapping. It wasn't uncommon for me to spend days on the one page. In the end, my scrapping became more about the embellishments than it was about the photo. I am still guilty of this at times. But I came to realise that I was so far behind on my scrapping, that I would never get through the mountains of memories waiting to be documented. It was then, that I discovered the world of pocket pages. These were a life saver. I now had a way to quickly document my memories whilst going back to the real reason of memory keeping - the memories.

So naturally I was over the moon, when a few years ago, Stampin' Up! bought out their range of pocket page memory keeping called Memories & More. Sadly though, I still didn't do as much memory keeping as I should have. But this year is going to change all that. I was excited when I saw the theme for this blog hop because it fell nicely into my plans to document more this year.

Here is just one double page that I created using the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack from the new Occasions Catalogue.

Now you may be thinking this is pretty plain, but I kept it that way on purpose. I wanted the pictures to speak volumes. I have purposely not added the journaling yet as the story behind these pictures is very personal. Without revealing too much, these pictures were taken when we started homeschooling my daughter, and understandably the situation which led to this decision was quite traumatic.

A closer look at one of the pages shows the small amount of detail I added. The beauty of this system is that you can make it as simple or detailed as you like. It can take you as long or as little time as you want. Plus it is a very cost effective method of memory keeping. The card packs come with sticker sheets and they coordinate with a product suite giving you ample opportunity to add more to your pages.

But some of the pocket page cards can be made into greeting cards too. I couldn't resist picking out a couple and doing just that. The only thing I have added is a backing piece of coordinating cardstock and some ribbon. Quick and easy cards.
