Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. Today it is time for another Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This time around we are focusing on the three type of stampers. The beginner, the casual and the avid. We can all relate to being a beginner, having only a few supplies and tentatively stepping into the stamping world. As time goes on, you gather a few more supplies and learn a few more techniques, and become  a casual crafter. Many people stay here and are happy to spend hours stamping and making projects. But then you get the avid crafters, like me. We just have to have it all and do it all, and spend way more hours than we probably should creating our projects.

It doesn't matter where on the spectrum you fall, today we have something for everyone. Each one of us on this blog hop has created three projects. One for each type of crafter.

For each of my projects today I have used the Needlepoint Nook Product Suite. I love this suite as it has the most gorgeous patterned paper, a beautiful stamp set and matching framelits that do more than just cut out the stamped images.

First up is my card for the beginner.

This card is quite simple. Everything is stamped onto the card front except the flowers. They are stamped onto some scrap card stock then cut out and glued on. Perfect for the beginner. You don't even need a Big Shot as the flowers are quite easily cut out by hand.

Now we move onto the casual crafter. Here is someone who probably has a Big Shot and is comfortable doing a few more steps and adding a bit  more detail to their cards.

On this card we have added designer series paper and thin strips of card stock either side of our sentiment panel. The leaves and flowers have been stamped then cut out using the framelits. Twine has been wrapped around the sentiment strip and tied to a bow.

Now we have the avid crafter who would own everything in the product suite and quite possibly would try to use it all on the one project. Yep, that's me.

With this card, we have used the stitching die to create the background. There is also stamping and lots of layers and little details.  This card takes a lot longer to create as there are so many individual elements to prepare and then assemble.
