Cake Soiree

Hello and welcome. Today I have a pretty floral card to share with you. It was one that I was meant to do for a blog hop, but I dragged my feet and missed the deadline. But still had to share it with you. The main stamp set used was Cake Soiree, but there's not a cake in sight on this card.

Lots of lovely flowers from the Cake Soiree stamp set. Background is subtle yet perfect for the card, using the Hardwood stamp. A final touch of little wooden Frames Elements, some of which sparkle from a touch of Clear Wink of Stella. Get all these supplies and more in my online store. Link in bio.

There is a lot going on in this card, and quite a bit of effort, but I think the end result is worth it. First up the background was stamped in Gray Granite ink using the Hardwood background stamp. All the flowers are from the Cake Soiree stamp set. And yes not a cake in sight. I love the flowers so much from this set, that I thought it would be nice to highlight them.

A few other little touches are the buds in Gray Granite from  the Frosted Bouquet Framelits and the wooden embellishments from the Frames Elements.  I coloured some of these with Stampin' Write markers. The frame around the sentiment piece and the heart on it were coloured with a Rich Razzleberry marker. I love how the ability to colour these wooden elements extends their versatility.

There is one last touch that probably isn't obvious in the photo above. I used a Clear Wink of Stella Brush on some of the flowers and wooden elements. I love the sparkle from this.

To purchase any of the supplies I have used on this card, please see the shopping list below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
