Off The Rails Scrapbooking - Vintage

Hello and welcome. Today is the first day of a new month, so that means there is a new challenge over at Off The Rails Scrapbooking.

The challenge for the month of March is a Vintage Moodboard. I love vintage so was very happy to create a layout for this one. Here is the moodboard.

To enter this challenge you no longer need a blog. You just need facebook. The challenge entries will now be able to be added to the Off The Rails Scrapbooking group. So if you have ever wanted to enter but don't have a blog, well now you can. Just pop over to the group and request to join. Then when you have completed your layout, simply take a picture if and load into the group.

This challenge fitted in well with what I have been recently doing. For the last week I have been going through all the old photo albums from my parents. I came across a lot of wedding photos of my parents, aunts and uncles. And since I haven't scrapped my own wedding photos from nearly twenty years ago, I thought I would start a wedding album. The March theme of Vintage fitted this perfectly.

The first wedding I am starting with is my Aunty Daph's. Didn't she make a lovely bride!

Mintay Papers - Marry Me

I have used the new Mintay brand papers on this layout, called Marry Me. I loved the soft subtle colours and the gorgeous flowers. It looked vintage to me so fitted the theme perfectly. The backing paper was just bone with words on it, but I wanted to tie in the pink tones. So I used Stampin' Up!'s Petal Pink ink pad and wiped it across the paper to add some colour.

I couldn't resist adding some card stock that had been embossed with Stampin' Up!'s Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This folder is divine and definitely has that vintage look to it.

Here are some close ups of the elements on the page.

I hope you love this page as much as I do.

To purchase any of the Stampin' Up! items used, please see the shopping list below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
