Well Said

Hello and welcome. Today I have a card for you that is very simple yet very striking. I wanted to highlight the sentiment but I couldn't help myself  in creating a gorgeous background, so the sentiment didn't end up the highlight at all. Oh well, these things happen.

The original idea for this card was to create a subtle background so the sentiment would shine. But I don't think I picked the right colours for still love it anyway. I used Abstract Impressions for the fun floral background.

The sentiment, which was meant to be the focus, is  using the Well Said Bundle. This bundle has the most amazing sentiment filled stamp set and an amazing die set to go with it. If you look closely you will notice that the sentiment on this card is a lot more robust that a normal die cut one. The trick I have to get this look, is to cut and stack several die cuts together. I have used four of the birthday die cuts to get this look. I think it makes such a difference. Here is a closer look.

This card was actually made for the latest  Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls Blog Hop.
We all featured the Well Said bundle. Take a look at what the other girls did.

To purchase any of the Stampin' Up! products I have used on this card, please see the shopping list below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

  1. I love this card Narelle. So bright and cheery. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. love this and love the depth of colour. One thing i try when doing this type background is to have 2 pieces of white. Stamp on one then stamp the same but 2nd gen on the 2nd piece to give you two backgrounds, same design and colours just one lighter ;) Thanks for hopping with us today. You've been missed x
