Bloom By Bloom

Hello and welcome. Today I have a pretty card to share with  you. I think you will be surprised at the stamp set I have used for it.

There are so many cool small flowers in the Bloom By Bloom stamp set.

If you are like me, you will see a stamp set you like and the samples in the catalogue made with it, and only think that type of card style. So when you go to use the stamp set, those samples, colour schemes etc are what come to mind. For me, I can then sometimes struggle to come up with other alternate uses and colours. Silly, I know, but the struggle is real at times. The Bloom By Boom stamp set was no exception. I just couldn't get past the colours of the pattered paper that coordinates with the stamp set, and the bold samples in the catalogue.

So I set my self a challenge. I picked out a range of subtle ink colours and just started stamping the various flowers in those colours. Once I started the ideas just came to me. Finally I could see other possibilities. Todays card is the outcome of that stamping session.

If you look closely, I stamped a heap of flowers onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and then stamped some larger flowers onto other paper and cut them out. When I cut these flowers out and put them on top of  the stamped flowers, they got a bit lost. So I put a piece of vellum down and it made a whole world of difference. It gave the stamped flowers a much more muted look which is exactly what I was trying to achieve. There is no punch for the larger blue flowers, so I had to cut these out by hand. I did however use the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack to make the yellow centres.

Most of what I have used on todays card is retiring at the end of May 2019. So if you want any of these products, make sure you get them before they sell out. They are all listed in the Products List below and when you click on each item you will be taken directly to it in my online store, so it's easy to buy exactly what  you want.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
