Climbing Roses

Hello and welcome. Today I have a card to share with you that has been made using a gorgeous stamp set that will sadly be retiring. It is the lovely Climbing Roses stamp set.

Such a lovely stamp to colour - Climbing Roses.

When I first saw this stamp set in the catalogue, it immediately went onto my wish list. But so did a lot of other products. So I actually only got this set quite late into the life of the catalogue, and hence I haven't used it that much. But I knew I wanted to use it at left once more before it left us.

I love large floral stamps as they give you so many colouring opportunities. This time around I used Stampin' Blends.

I am no expert at using alcohol markers, but I find it quite easy to get something decent looking. You could watercolour this stamp as well, and so many other techniques and it would look different every time.

Besides the coloured flower, I also stamped the grid pattern randomly in the background. First I stamped the large rose stamp, then using the matching dies, I cut out the same shape from some old copy paper. I used temporary glue and stuck it over the stamped image. This way I could stamp my random background images without worrying about contaminating my flowers. I could also stamp some of the background so it looked to be behind the flowers.

I hope I have inspired you to get crafty today. Don't forget that this stamp set is retiring, so if you want it, you had better get it before it sells out. It won't be available at all after the end of May 2019.

To purchase any of the products I have used on this project, please see the product list below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
