Freshly Brewed Projects - Ways to Colour

Hello and welcome. Today it is time for another Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls. This week it is all about the many different ways to colour with our products. The most obvious is by using the Stampin' Blends, but then there is also water colouring using the Aqua Painter and then we have the Blender Pens. The Stampin' Write Markers is another option as well as getting creative with the new Pigment Sprinkles.

Today I have opted to use the Blender Pens. I think these are quite often overlooked, but colouring with them is so easy.

The easiest way I find to use the Blender Pens, is to squeeze the ink pads while they are closed, so that you transfer some ink to the inside of the lid. Then simply wipe the tip of your Blender Pen in the ink and colour. So easy and very effective. The only potential issue is, if you go over the one spot of card stock too much, it will start to pill. But with practice, this can easily be avoided.

I used just the one ink colour for the flowers. I first applied a light cover of the ink. To achieve this I picked up the ink and then wiped my pen briefly on scrap paper so that when I coloured my image the ink was lighter. When that was dry, I went over it with full strength ink.

Now that you have seen my project, make sure you pop over and see what the other Latte girls have created.

To purchase any of the products I have used on today's project, please see the product list below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

  2. Oh I love this ... such a pretty card and love your colouring! I agree - those Blender Pens get overlooked with so many colouring tools on hand.
