Fun For Kids

Hello and welcome. Today I thought I would show you a few stamp sets that are perfect if you have children in your life.  Whether you want to create fun craft with children or for children, Stampin' Up! has what you need.

First up is the fabulous Dino Days stamp set. If you have a little boy in your life, then he probably loves Dinosaurs. I remember my son went through that stage and I only wish this stamp set was around then. At 19 now I don't think he would appreciate a dinosaur card for his birthday.

Here is a card I made last year with this set. I was very happy that it carried over to the current catalogue.

Next up is the oh so cute Wildly Happy stamp set. This set is perfect if you have a little one who loves to colour. They can colour the images and then stick them onto cards for friends and family.

And lastly is the too cute Moving Along set. I don't know any little boy who doesn't love everything transport. My son always had a matchbox car not far from him. I remember he used to line them up nose to tail down the hall and into the lounge room. He had quite the collection.

I hope I have inspired you to get creative with or for the little people in your life.

You can purchase all these stamp sets and more in my online store.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.

Freshly Brewed - Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek

Hello and welcome. It is time for another Freshly Brewed Projects. Our theme this around is the new Holiday Catalogue that will be available to purchase from in just under a week.

I know I just heard from groans of 'what Christmas already!'. But we are nearly in August and the time between now and December will fly past. Now is the time to start making all your Christmas crafts and gifts.

You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing what to use for this years cards. Hopefully today we can give you some ideas on what you want. If you like bold then you will love my card.

I have used the Peace & Joy Bundle. I am in love with the large die cut words and their many layers. I have always loved die cut words and these are beautiful and big. And the two layers you can add behind them really make them pop. Plus the stamp set also has the words that you can stamp and then use the die cut layers behind them too. This bundle is so versatile. You can get many different looks by using the different elements in various combinations. Add in different colour combinations and the possibilities are endless. This is a must have bundle in your Christmas collection.

Now that you have seen my creation, it is time to see what Libby has made.

Here is the complete list of everyone playing along in case you need it.

·       Narelle Fasulo <<you are here>>
·       Libby Dyson
·       Ann Craig

You can purchase all the products I have used on my project in my online store from August 4.

Beauty Abounds

Hello and welcome. I was recently flicking through some images on Pinterest and came across a card using the Beauty Abounds stamp set. It was so so pretty and I realised I haven't used this stamp set for some time. So I pulled it out and came up with this.

You can never go wrong with butterflies. They are so elegant. But for a long time growing up I never liked them and that was because my gran had some large ornamental butterflies on the outside of her house near the front door. My father hated them and every time we visited he made a remark about them. So I grew up not liking butterflies. Crazy how we are influenced by others.

Well I am pleased to say that I quite like butterflies now and have quite a few butterfly themed craft items to play with.  Are you a butterfly lover? Have you seen all the items I sell that have butterflies in them?

Product List

That is quite a list. Just click on any item above to go to my online store to see more details for each product and purchase them if you wish to.

Pattern Building

Hello and welcome. Today I want to talk about pattern building. Using one or more stamps to create a design. You can use any stamps for this, sometimes it is just a matter of repeating them to create a pattern. For my project today I wanted to recreate a simple quilt type pattern.

The Right Triangle stamp set is perfect for achieving this. And how excited was I when I was playing around and was looking for a way to make something that represented sashing between the blocks, and found out that the Best Plaid Builder Die was perfect for this. If you aren't a quilter you will probably have no idea what I am talking about. A block in quilting is basically a square pattern made up of other shapes. So in my card, one yellow and one blue triangle makes up a block. Sashing is the term used to describe the plain bands in between the blocks.

My stamping in places is a bit wonky, but I guess it is a fair representation of my quilting at times too....lol.

What other stamp sets in the catalogue could you use for pattern building? I bet if you looked you could find heaps. The Right Triangle is an obvious one, but there are others too.

You can purchase all the supplies I used on my card in my online store.
