Artist Appreciation Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. Today I am taking part in an Artist Appreciation blog hop. The idea is to use our favourite artist as inspiration in our projects.

The artist I chose to use an inspiration is a world wide known Australian artist that is know for his bright and bold paintings. When people see his work, they instantly know who painted it. I am talking about Ken Done. The piece in particular I am using for inspiration today is this one, called Aquarium.

The Whale of A Time product suite is perfect for creating a project inspired by this painting. I chose a piece of patterned paper that already had the reef on it and simply just added some fish, seahorses, a turtle and extra seeweed. My colours are not as bright as Ken's, but I guess it doesn't have to be. I am not copying his painting, just using it as inspiration.

Now that you have seen my artist inspired creation, it is time to see what everyone else has done.

You can purchase all the supplies you need to create this card from my online store here.
