Joy Of Sets Blog Hop - Reading is FONTS-amental

Hello and welcome. Today I am participating in the Joy Of Sets Blog Hop. Our theme is all about Fonts and Multimedia.  Don't you just love a good font?!? Many of us do and that's why this month's theme is all about Reading is FONTS-amental! The FONT of the sentiments can convey so much more than just the words... whether it's the typewriter font in a book, the hand-lettered phrases on a worn page in a journal, the fading title along a book spine - what?!? Yes, it's all about texture, too!

I have been itching to use the new letter dies I have, so broke them open today to create this funky greeting on my card. I used 3d foam behind the letters when I cut them out, so they really pop off the front of the card.

For the mixed media component I had a play with sponging inks on the background of the card. I can get carried away with blending that I find time flies so quickly because I just keep dragging out bits of card stock to try different combinations of colours. By the time I have finished, I have quite a few card fronts ready that just need sentiments and embellishments.  I love when playing with blending inks, that every time you do it, you end up with great results for little effort.

I also decided to pull out my texture past and stencils. I love the extra 3D element that the paste dots add. They feel really amazing when they are dry and when people receive a card with the paste on it, they are always intrigued as to how you did it.

Now that you have seen my creation, it is time to see what Mo has created.

Here is the full list of everyone hoping along in case you lost along the way.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
